An in-depth class covering the main techniques used in making fine jewelry.This class is designed for people with a basic knowledge of  jewelry tools, some soldering ability and a serious interest advancing their jewelry skills and knowledge base. It would be a great class to  follow "Beginning Jewelry Making." An alternate class after "Beginning Jewelry Making" would be the "Fabrication Techniques" class. This class includes 'gold soldering' & 'lost wax casting,' not included in the fabrication class.

In class we'll cover the areas noted below, for a comprehensive overview of the processes used in creating fine jewelry. You'll be working at the 'bench' and watching as I demonstrate each topic. Each class runs 4+-hours, 2 sessions per week for 3 weeks. (25+ hours of class time with 5 hours of Free studio time following completion of the class.

Private Instruction: $895 / 110 materials.

Split payment available on the “instruction” portion:  60% down with the balance due at the start of the 4th class session.

We'll also cover how to set-up a jewelry work space and what tools to add as your needs grow. We'll discuss the best sources to find precious metals, gems and jewelry making supplies. (knowing good sources is very important)

Classes focus on the topics listed above plus 'tricks-of-the-trade' I'll pass along. Lots of information! If one of the above topics is of more interest than another we'll spend additional time with that subject matter and less on something you choose.
